Cherry Hills Christian School is implementing a new tool aimed at promoting productive online learning and responsible student use of the web and tech devices.
The new Relay Smart Agent app will be added automatically to all CHC-issued student iPads with the devices’ latest software update. When it is fully functional during the 2020-21 academic year, the Relay software will send parents weekly email reports detailing their student’s online activity. Reports will include information about the amount of time their student spent online and the the web pages they visited. The app also will allow parents to pause the Internet on a student’s device for a select amount of time.
The new app is an enhancement of the larger Relay Platform CHC uses to protect students and encourage them to make healthy and smart use of the Internet. We also invite review of the Digital Citizenship Pledge we ask students to make at the start of each school year.
