Cherry Hills Christian School

The Book Fair is coming!

Cherry Hills Christian School’s commitment to helping students achieve strong literacy skills is underscored by our traditional and beloved annual student book fair — one of the largest among metro Denver schools and one of our biggest fundraisers.

This year, we invite student and parent shoppers to enter the Book Fair Time Machine Oct. 12-15 to experience life from the age of the dinosaurs to robots of the future. We’re pleased to present a robust fair while maintaining health precautions that include physical distancing and opportunities to make online purchases. All K-8 students will have a chance to browse and buy books during the school day and to make wish lists they can share with with family members and friends. We’re also providing three opportunities for parents to shop at a physical distance and when students are not on the CHC campus. They are:

  • 3:30-5:30 p.m., Mon., Oct. 12 (during parent-teacher conferences)
  • 3:30-5:30 p.m., Wed., Oct. 14 (during parent-teacher conferences)
  • 8:30-11 a.m., Thurs., Oct. 15 (for Preschool parents during parent-teacher conferences)

Because every book fair purchase benefits CHC, we strive to make shopping simple. Here are three ways to help us make the most of this year’s event:

Shop online! Visit www.scholastic.com/fair anytime Oct. 7-20, and search for Cherry Hills Christian School to shop from home. All purchases will be delivered right to your door.

Use eWallet. Prefer not to send your student to school with cash? We completely understand. Set up a free account with eWallet, and determine a spending limit for your child. Either print a bar code to send with your child to school, or have your child tell our cashiers to look up your account when they’re ready to purchase.

Fulfill a teacher’s wishlist. Many parents enjoy purchasing books for their children’s teachers. CHC parents should be on the lookout for an email from Sign-up Genius, inviting them to purchase specific books our teachers would like to add to their classrooms.

Be a parent volunteer. CHC’s annual Book Fair is really something special — and a wonderful way for parents to serve our students and love on our school. Parents willing to serve as cashiers throughout the week are always most appreciated. You can find a volunteer sign-up here
