The Office Manager is committed to honoring Christ by preparing students to live fully for God in a rapidly changing world, knowing they are His masterpieces, uniquely designed for His purpose. The Office Manager helps ensure that the work environment is Christian-based, nurturing, wholesome and loving while performing all responsibilities.    

POSITION TYPE:  Full Time

SALARY: $18 – 22 per hour

HOURS PER WEEK:  40

SUPERVISOR:  Director of Upper School

  • Be an active, engaged member of the school community

Efficiently Assist and Lead Alongside Upper School Director and Teachers

  • The Upper School Office Manager is a resource to all Upper School Teachers
  • Responsibilities include providing administrative and occasional classroom instruction support for Grades 6-8
  • Administrative support includes:
    • Maintaining the resource room
    • Maintaining kitchen/lounge area
    • Providing lunch and recess duty
    • Assisting with student supervision as needed
    • Assisting the Upper School Director, Student Life Coordinator, and Learning Specialist as needed
    • Providing attendance backup to the Registrar
    • Providing assistance for the main lobby receptionist and assist during special events as needed
    • Coordinating the Upper School substitute teacher schedule and planning
    • Managing the receptionist area on the north end of the Upper School hallway
    • Coordinating and providing administrative services for Ministry in Motion and Missions Week experiences
    • Providing administrative support for the Upper School student behavior team
    • Other administrative support as needed
  • Classroom instruction support includes:
    • Taking the role of emergency substitute teacher
    • Assisting Upper School teachers in the classroom if assigned
    • Leading a Life Group/Homeroom section if assigned
    • Overseeing Personal Responsibility Time (PRT or “Study Hall”) with students if assigned
  • The Upper School Office Manager will also:
    • Reflect the purpose of the school which is to honor Christ in word and action
    • Understand and implement all building emergency procedures

Cultivate Positive Relationships with Children and Families

  • Develop and maintain rapport with students and parents
  • Keep students, parents and the Director of Upper School adequately informed of progress or deficiencies and give sufficient notices of failure
  • Respect professional ethics that require confidentiality concerning the sharing of information about children, parents or staff
  • Pray for the children and families you serve

Other Administrative Leadership Responsibilities

  • Be familiar with Cherry Hills Christian policies and procedures and assist with day-to-day operations

Demonstrates a Commitment to Growth

  • Provide input and constructive recommendations for administrative and managerial functions in the school

Model Servant Leadership and Exhibit a Helpful, Joyful Attitude

Perform Other Duties and Tasks as Assigned

Qualifications

  • A growing and evident commitment to Jesus Christ and a Biblical lifestyle that exhibits conduct consistent with CHC’s Essentials of Faith
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Holds a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Previous administrative experience preferred
  • Willingness to pursue higher education and continue progress in career development
  • Must have a flexible attitude with a servant’s heart
