Academics & Extracurriculars

The PreSchool

Where children ages 2-5 engage through fun, hands-on and group activities that help lay a spiritual and academic foundation for success in learning at CHC and beyond, while also navigating the challenges of childhood.

The Lower School

The Lower School exceeds Colorado state standards and has been recognized as an Apple Distinguished School for innovative teaching and learning. Students in Kindergarten through Grade 5 develop meaningful and relevant leadership skills through communication, collaboration, critical thinking and creativity — all taught through the Christian lens.

The Upper School

Students in Grades 6-8 are well prepared for the high school of their choice. Our rigorous curriculum exceeding Colorado state standards challenges them to recognize the value of difficult assignments, practice at home, independent research and selflessness through acts of community service.

Academics

CHC significantly has aligned all of its core subjects from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 8. That means students might sharpen their math skills while working on a science experiment or deepen their understanding of history while in English class. This thoughtful, interdisciplinary approach to learning helps ensure our students have a seamless academic career at CHC.

We invite you to learn more about our approaches to teaching core subjects to students in Kindergarten through Grade 8 — and about the lifelong outcomes we desire for CHC Graduates. Please visit The Preschool for a detailed look at how we get students ages 2-5 off to a fantastic start in the classroom —  and in life.

Praise Band & Choir

CHC is for music lovers! Whether you sing, play an instrument or feel called to lead others in worship, CHC encourages pursuit of musical interest and invites students to participate in our Praise Band and/or student choir.
