Cherry Hills Christian School offers students in Preschool through age 13 a quality, affordable School-Age Care Program that provides a healthy and safe environment where students can learn; take part in supervised recreation; and build strong, positive relationships with teachers and their peers that honor Christ with their conduct. Our program is designed to meet our families’ scheduling needs and to provide them the peace of mind of knowing that their students are engaged in constructive enrichment activities promoting physical, emotional and intellectual development.
Activities include homework assistance, creative expression, science, technology, indoor/outdoor recreational games, music appreciation, dramatic play, fitness, communication skills, building and engineering and appreciation of diversity. Additionally, these programs offer a variety of activities that promote life skills, such as teamwork, problem solving, leadership, sportsmanship and creativity.
Programs are fee-based and self-supporting. They are governed and regulated by The Preschool and by the Colorado Department of Human Services, Division of Early Care and Learning. These programs receive annual inspections of licensing, health and fire safety and are subject to all applicable federal and state laws and regulations and CHC policies. All staff are professionally trained in emergency procedures.

Health & Hygiene
Students will receive a temperature and health check before being admitted to our Before-School Care Program. All students will wash their hands upon arrival, before eating and when re-entering their classroom after being on the playground. CHC will continue to follow all cleaning, sanitation and disinfecting protocols detailed here.

Healthy Snacks
Kids are almost always hungry after school. CHC provides them healthy snacks and part of the program registration fee.
Homework assistance and positive behavioral support
CHC is committed to supporting busy families by offering homework assistance and other forms of support after school. Our students are supervised in separate, quiet areas for focused attention on their studies and/or encouraged to participate in times of social-emotional learning. We invite you to review CHC’s array of Academic Services for more information.

Club participation
Students in The Lower School have the opportunity to participate in clubs that start in mid-September and meet before or after school. An Extra-Curricular Activities Form must be submitted.

Playground/Recess
We encourage outdoor play, weather permitting. Active, indoor activities are provided during inclement weather.
