Ms. Shaw is a proud Colorado native and couldn't imagine living anywhere else. She loves to kayak, camp and hang out in the mountains whenever she can during the summer. Snowshoeing is her favorite winter activity and feels like she might be the only Colorado native to never have gone skiing or snowboarding! She lives in Parker with a crazy chocolate lab named Bailey. Ms. Deters has been apart of the Cherry Hills Christian family for 11 years, spending them all in fifth grade. She attended Seattle Pacific University earning a BS in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Language Arts. She later attended Walden University earning a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. She taught fourth and fifth grades in Douglas County before landing at CHC. Her favorite bible verse changes with the seasons of life, but Joshua 1:9 and Jeremiah 29:11 have been consistent staples.
