Carey Bailey

Spiritual Life Director for The Upper School

Carey Bailey is a Texan who transplanted herself to the desert of Phoenix, Arizona, for nearly two decades before making her way to the Rocky Mountains. She spent 20 years as a Family Life Pastor and six years as a Christian Life Coach before leaping into education at Cherry Hills Christian School in 2016.

Carey, who has a bachelor's degree in Religion from Westminster College, is passionate about equipping God's children to live into the freedom of Christ and understand the fullness of who God designed them to be. As Spiritual Life Director for The Upper School, she upholds the vision and mission for students to know they are fully known, fully loved and fully His through our spiritual life programs. She also coordinates weekly Chapel, Life Groups, the Fall Retreat, and the L.E.O.S. student leadership program. She further collaborates with Faculty members specializing in Bible and Missions instruction to offer our students maximum growth in their personal walk with God the Father, Jesus the Son and The Holy Spirit.

Carey says her husband, Eric, keeps her laughing and that their children are their "little joys." She enjoys Bible journaling, mixed media arts, strolling the aisles of Hobby Lobby, and Sabbath day. Her favorite Bible verse is, "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." - Romans 15:13
