Heather Naumovitz

Counselor of The Upper School

Heather is originally from New Jersey and moved to Denver three years ago to pursue her M.A. in Counseling at Denver Seminary. She has worked as a tutor, teacher, academic coach, and counselor. After spending a year interning with the counseling department at Denver Christian School, she is excited to join Cherry Hills Christian as the Upper School Counselor.

Heather is a firm believer in helping students build new narratives about their personal and academic journeys using a growth mindset. She believes in the importance of helping students build lifelong assets like resilience and strong relationships. Heather considers it a privilege to empower students to know they are deeply loved, equipped with unique strengths and gifts, and created to thrive with God. She aims to provide students with tools for holistic development, spiritual growth, and academic success.

In her spare time, she enjoys building meaningful relationships with others and appreciates a good conversation over a cup of coffee. She loves musical worship, writing, spending time outdoors, and helping to create a culture of hospitality amongst her friends and church community. Her favorite Bible verse is, “For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.” -Isaiah 43:19
