For nearly two decades, Kim Snyder has worked in the field of early childhood education, specializing in the development of high-quality programming and the assessment of early childhood programs. She has extensive experience in teaching and program administration. Before her arrival at Cherry Hills Christian School, she worked as a teacher and school administrator, and for the State of Colorado as an evaluator of educational programs for infants through school-age children.
As a teacher and/or administrator, Kim's work also has been observed, assessed and evaluated by three entities: the Association for Christian Schools International (ACSI), Qualistar and the National Association for the Education of Young Children. As a result of her own professional evaluations, Kim regularly leads The Preschool through processes of continuous improvement that require the use of multiple lenses through which to assess our program's quality and effectiveness -- and also ensure CHC's youngest students have the best that can be offered. From having safe and stimulating environments, to high-impact language and vocabulary lessons, to nurturing and responsive relationships, Kim affirms there is always reason to celebrate and strengthen practice.
Kim is a San Diego native who has called Colorado home since 1999. She has a Master of Arts in Educational Administration from the University of Denver, where she was a Buell Early Childhood Leadership Program Fellow. She also has a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from the University of California, Irvine. Her favorite Bible verse is Ezekiel 36:26: “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.”
