P.E. Teacher, Grades K-5

For nearly two decades, Kimmy Stevens has sought to nurture in her students a hunger and excitement for learning through literature, scripture and adventurous life experiences. At CHC, she also challenges students to pursue health and wellness as a Physical Education Teacher.
After graduating with a bachelor's degree in Health Promotion and Education (PK-12) from the University of Georgia, Kimmy worked with patients in orthopedic care and cardiac rehabilitation. While pursing an additional degree in Elementary Education from the University of West Georgia, she pursued teaching opportunities in Christian education, serving in mission fields locally and abroad. Kimmy has been a certified Elementary teacher since 1996, and has taught as a lead teacher in the elementary classroom at the following grade levels: PreK, K, 1, 2, 3 and 5. She also has extensive experience in teaching elementary Physical Education. She holds professional teaching licenses/certifications in Georgia, Washington and Colorado. Additional services also includes Team Lead for Grades 2 and 3, and the Specialists Team, Reading Intervention Specialist, Head of Spiritual Life Committee, Mission Team Lead in Mexico and Eastern Europe, Bible Study Lead, Middle School Athletics Coach, High School Athletics Coach, Running/Track Coach, Student Council Mentor and Code Valentine Team Lead (CPR and Emergency Protocol).
When she is not teaching, Kimmy enjoys spending time and tackling life's adventures with her husband and son. Her favorite Bible verse is: Joshua 1:9
