Though she's a Michigan native, Michelle says she now calls Colorado home. She launched her classroom teaching career, instructing students in Kindergarten and Grade 1, soon after receiving a bachelor's degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Western Michigan University in 2013. Michelle arrived in Colorado and at CHC in 2016 and currently is pursuing a master's degree in Elementary Reading.
When she is not teaching, Michelle enjoys spending time with her husband and their Golden Retriever, Winston. Her favorite Bible verse -- the one that she says keeps her going each and every day -- is, "My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." (Psalm 73:26)
