Sandy is a Texas native who moved to Colorado as a high school student and went on to graduate from Colorado State University with a bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies. She arrived at CHC in 2005.
Sandy loves to watch and encourage each and every one of her little students grow and learn physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally. She has worked with children for more than 20 years in a variety of ways, including as a nanny, a swim instructor and as the director of a children's fitness center. Sandy especially loves working in a Christian school environment, where she can help our youngest students connect their early learning to God.
When she isn't in the classroom, Sandy enjoys spending time with her husband, who is a head golf professional, and their two sons. Together they golf -- of course -- and enjoy hiking and going to baseball games.
Her favorite Bible verse: "The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you not forsake you. Do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged." (Deuteronomy 31:8)
