Shawn has been a working artist since finishing his MFA in painting from the University of Tennessee in 2003. His passion for art goes beyond the canvas. He loves the history of art and what it has taught him about himself and the world. Shawn and his wife Alma have a son in the Navy and teaches nuclear engineering in South Carolina. Their daughter Andrea has been a student at CHC since Preschool. They feel blessed to be part of the CHC family. Shawn joined the CHC faculty in 2019 and teaches students in Grades K-5. He was born in north Georgia and his pursuit of education has placed him in many states. He is happy to call Colorado home. Besides spending time in his studio, Shawn enjoys mountain biking, skiing and the eclectic music scene in this beautiful state.
