NEW COMMERCIAL KITCHEN, HOT LUNCH PROGRAM & COMMUNITY SPACES
The new kitchen is fully funded and will be just over 1100 square feet, with state-of-the-art kitchen equipment and two serving lines to support both lunchrooms. These spaces have been thoughtfully redesigned to serve as lunchrooms and accommodate chapel services, praise and worship, fellowship opportunities, community-building activities, and more.
DEMOLITION – JUNE & JULY 2024
The demolition phase is complete. The walls dividing Rooms 170 and 173 have been removed, creating room for our new commercial kitchen and community space.
- The underground plumbing is complete, marking a significant milestone in our construction progress.
- The grease receptor has been successfully installed.
- The kitchen equipment has been ordered and is expected to arrive on schedule.
FOOD SERVICE PROVIDER
We have selected Taher Inc. as our new lunch vendor. Taher believes in nourishing the minds of our future and is committed to providing fresh and nutritious offerings. Meals will be cooked primarily from scratch daily and made with fresh ingredients.

Meet some key players who are making these ideas a reality, several of which are valued members of our community and parents of CHC children.
Jeff Hilligoss, Taher K-12 District Manager
Jeff joined Taher Inc. as a K-12 District Manager in March 2023. Before joining Taher Inc., he served as the General Manager of Food Operations at the University of Minnesota and as the Resident District Manager at St Cloud State University. Throughout his professional journey, he has emphasized building strong client relationships, encouraging student involvement, and enhancing employee retention. Jeff is an alumnus of Southern Illinois University, where he studied Hotel, Restaurant, and Travel Administration. He resides in Castle Rock, CO, with his wife, Tiffany, and their three children. When he is not dedicated to supporting K12 school districts, you can find him at the Ice Hockey Rink, cheering on his two youngest children.
Brian Van Winkle, Architect, Vessel Architecture and Design
Brian, as a founding partner of Vessel Architecture and Design, takes the lead in shaping the vision, marketing strategies, and providing personalized service to their clients. He considers it a privilege to guide Vessel in their quest to build environments that foster growth and well-being. The foundation of successful places lies in a strong vision, human effort, and the ultimate goal of nurturing individuals. Vessel recognizes that successful projects stem from thriving teams and is dedicated to demonstrating servant leadership to their clients, collaborators, and suppliers. Brian and his wife, Heidi, have five children, and their youngest daughter is set to enter grade three at Cherry Hills Christian next year.
Jesse Schuchman, Senior Project Manager, Roche Constructors
In 2002, Jesse Schuchman joined Roche Constructors as an intern while completing his construction management degree at Colorado State University. After graduating, he became a full-time project engineer at the company. Over the years, Jesse progressed from assistant project manager to project manager before being promoted to his current position as senior project manager in 2022. This summer marked his 20th anniversary with the company, during which he contributed to projects totaling $415 million, specializing in educational construction. Collaborating with Superintendent Jim Spence, their recent projects include the $31.6 million Dr. Justina Ford Elementary School and the $29.6 million Jefferson High School Relocation and CTE Center. Jesse, a parent of two children at Cherry Hills Christian, attends Cherry Hills Community Church.
Jim Spense, Senior Superintendent, Roche Constructors
With over 35 years of experience in the construction industry, Jim Spence joined Roche Constructors in 2010 as a superintendent and later advanced to senior superintendent in 2022. Throughout the past decade, he has contributed to 28 projects in the education, retail, and healthcare sectors, amounting to $270 million. Specializing in educational construction, Jim has played a key role in major projects such as the $31.6 million Dr. Justina Ford Elementary School for Littleton Public Schools and the $29.6 million Jefferson High School Relocation and CTE Center for Weld County School District 6 in Greeley.
Dave Seifreid, President, Regency Electric Inc.
Dave Seifried, a native of Colorado, was born and raised in Highlands Ranch. Happily married with three wonderful children, they enjoy playing sports, traveling, and embracing the outdoors. Dave is a Colorado State University graduate (go Rams!) who swiftly transitioned into entrepreneurship. As the owner of Regency Electric, Inc., he takes pride in contributing to various construction projects and community development initiatives across Colorado. Offering his expertise, Dave volunteered to support the Cherry Hills Christian School and Cherry Hills Community Church project. This endeavor is particularly meaningful to him as it is close to home, and his children attend CHC. He feels privileged to be part of a fantastic team guiding this project to its completion. The realization of this project is attributed to divine intervention, and Dave considers it a great honor to be involved.
