STUDENT LIFE

Middle School Athletics

Athletics Within a Christ-Centered Education

At Cherry Hills Christian School, middle school athletics exist for more than wins and losses. We believe sports are a powerful vehicle for discipleship, growth, competition, leadership, and community formation during one of the most important developmental seasons of a student’s life.

Our middle school athletic programs are designed to help students grow spiritually, physically, and socially through Christ-centered coaching, healthy competition, and long-term athletic development.

Whether a student is new to sports or already experienced in competition, CHC Athletics provides an environment where students are challenged, encouraged, and equipped to grow in confidence while learning how to honor Christ through athletics.

Our Mission

We use athletics to help students:

  • Pursue Christ through character, discipline, and servant leadership
  • Form meaningful community through teamwork and shared experiences
  • Develop confidence through preparation, competition, and growth

We believe refining challenges are not obstacles to avoid, but opportunities God uses to shape perseverance, resilience, humility, and courage.

What Makes CHC Middle School Athletics Different?

Christ-Centered Coaching

Our coaches are committed to modeling and teaching values that extend beyond the game — integrity, humility, accountability, effort, encouragement, and leadership rooted in Christ.

Development-Focused Environment

Middle school athletics should be developmental, instructional, and transformational. We emphasize skill growth, athletic development, movement literacy, teamwork, and long-term confidence over early specialization or unhealthy pressure.

Healthy Competition

Competition is a gift when approached correctly. We teach students to compete with effort, discipline, humility, and respect while pursuing excellence that honors God.

Whole-Student Growth

Athletics are integrated into the broader mission of CHC by helping students mature physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, and spiritually.

Community & Belonging

Athletics create opportunities for students and families to connect, encourage one another, and build lifelong relationships within the CHC community. We desire to build programs that students are proud to represent and families are proud to support.
