Parent Connect at Cherry Hills Christian School
As a parent at Cherry Hills Christian School, you play an integral role in the Parent Connect community. This parent-led group organizes and engages in fellowship events and activities all year round. These include quarterly Parent Connect meetings, a Book Fair, Mom’s Bible Study, and other fellowship opportunities.

Connect Meeting Dates
Thursday, September 5 @ 8:30 am
Join us for our first Parent Connect gathering of the school year. This event offers a fantastic opportunity for community, prayer, and education. We are delighted to welcome our Lower School Counselor, Becky King, at our first session.
Becky will provide parents with techniques to support their children when they feel mentally trapped. It’s common for thoughts to become ensnared in comparison, fear, and anxiety, leading to corresponding behaviors and feelings. Becky will present evidence-based cognitive-behavioral tactics, practical suggestions, and spiritual motivation to help our children flourish.
Don’t miss this chance to connect and enjoy a delightful breakfast.

Meet The Parent Connect Leadership Team
Mackenzie Brucker, Chair
Mackenzie and her family relocated from the Northwest to Colorado a few years ago without any prior connections in the area. CHC has played a pivotal role in helping the Brucker’s swiftly establish a meaningful community. Mackenzie and her husband Scott, have two daughters, in grades 3 and 4. The relationships fostered through CHC have exceeded their expectations, offering a supportive faith community and invaluable connections for the entire family. Volunteering at the school has brought immense joy and satisfaction to their lives, and they eagerly anticipate the exciting opportunities for their children and the entire CHC community this year. Beyond school, they enjoy game nights, sharing meals with friends, and embracing the great outdoors to bask in the Colorado sunshine.

Jamie Robben, Vice Chair
Jamie and her family relocated to Highlands Ranch from Sacramento two years ago when her husband, Charlie, was relocated for work. They have two children, Stella, entering Grade 7, and Beau, entering Grade 5. New to the area, they dove headfirst into meeting new families by actively participating in CHC and CHCC. Jamie volunteered on Parent Connect and led a VBS Camp at CHCC last summer. Working with the school and church has been a blessing as they have connected with many wonderful families. They love camping and spend their weekends in their RV exploring the outdoors and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs (apologies to Broncos fans!).

Ashley McKinley
Ashley McKinley and her family relocated to Highlands Ranch from the Northern Virginia/Washington DC area. She and her husband Gavin have two daughters, Sydney in Grade 5 and Margaret in Grade 2. Originally from West Texas, Ashley and Gavin have been delighted to introduce their daughters to the beauty of their new home in the United States. The warm and friendly welcome they received in Colorado, especially at CHC, was a pleasant surprise for their family. They aim to extend this kindness by assisting new families in adjusting to the school and the area. The Christian education and nurturing atmosphere at CHC have deepened their faith in God and strengthened their family bond. Ashley is excited about contributing to the Parent Connect team and witnessing the impact of God’s work at Cherry Hills Christian School this year!

Danora Gotto
Danora and her husband, Robert, became part of the Cherry Hills Christian School community in 2022 and have found immense joy in being part of this Christ-centered environment. They have two daughters enrolled at CHC: Clara, entering Grade 5, and Laura, entering Grade 4. Danora is excited to continue their involvement at Cherry Hills and is eager to contribute to the school community by serving on the Parent Connect leadership team. Her role will focus on making new families feel welcomed and connected within the CHC community. Danora finds inspiration in the verse: “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” – Isaiah 40:31.
