Scott comes to us after 37 years in law enforcement, the majority of which was with the Broomfield Police Department. Scott was a sergeant for most of his career and is a respected leader, serving in nearly all aspects of law enforcement including SWAT, traffic, SRO, and patrol.  Scott has a heart for service and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our campus.  However, most importantly, Scott is a man who seeks to honor God in all he does and he brings a presence of peace and protection with him wherever he goes.  

Education

B.A. in Social Sciences with a minor in Sociology and Criminal Justice from Colorado State University.

Professional Experience

Scott was blessed with a 37 year career in law enforcement that allowed him to work for several different agencies, including the Broomfield Police Department for the last 35 years. His experience included assignments in Patrol, Investigations and as the first School Resource Officer in Broomfield, at Broomfield High School for 4 years. He was an original and founding member of the Broomfield SWAT team, where he served for 15 years. After his promotion to sergeant, Scott managed the construction of the City & County of Broomfield’s jail and supervised teams in Patrol, Court Security, Detentions, Traffic and the School Resource Officer Unit. He also served as an original member and eventual supervisor of the Honor Guard.

Life at a Glance

Scott loves to spend time with his wonderful wife, Michelle to whom he has been married since 1992, and their awesome daughter, Samantha. They spend as much time as they can on the family ranch in Cedaredge, Colorado, where Scott loves to hike and hunt deer and elk. He scratches his creative itch with woodworking projects and enjoys shooting at one of the two shooting ranges he belongs to.
